7.septembrī Senāta Administratīvo lietu departaments tiesas sēdē izskatīja akciju sabiedrības „Air Baltic Corporation” iesniegto kasācijas sūdzību par Administratīvās apgabaltiesas 2010.gada 11.janvāra spriedumu, ar kuru noraidīts AS „Air Baltic Corporation” pieteikums par Ekonomikas ministrijas (EM) lēmuma atcelšanu. Minētais EM lēmums atstāj spēkā iepriekš Patērētāju tiesību aizsardzības centra lēmumu un uzliek par pienākumu a/s „Air Baltic Corporation” atmaksāt personai naudas summu par iegādātajām aviobiļetēm sakarā ar neizmantotu avio pakalpojumu. Senāta nolēmums lietā būs pieejams 7.oktobrī.

Zane Trasune has been appointed for the post of bailiff of Zemgales regional court. In order to start to execute work duties, new bailiff gave a vow to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Ivars Bickovics wished to the new bailiff success in work and stressed the role of bailiffs in court system. “All litigation hadn’t had a value at all, if there wouldn’t have been a practical execution of the court sentence”, said the Chief Justice, indicating that in many court cases execution of the sentence depends on professional work of the bailiff.
