    The Senate turns the attention of the Cabinet to evaluation of function of state administration

    By the verdict of the Department of Administrative Cases of the Senate of November 2, the sentence of Administrative regional court of November 14, 2008, in case of Maris Dzelzskalns and Svetlana Dzelzskalna about claim for admission of actual activity of the agency „The Agency of Social Health” as unlawful and remuneration of moral damage has been cancelled, and the case has been sent for new review in the Administrative regional court in another composition of the court. The case had been reviewed in general session of the Department of Administrative Cases of the Senate in the court hearings on September 11, 2009.

    The Senate rejects pleading of Pujats and Smits about calling in the status of third party

    By the decision of the Department of Administrative Cases of the Senate of November 12, the ancillary complaint of cardinal Janis Pujats and Janis Smits for the resolution of the Administrative district court of May 12, 2009 has been rejected. By the resolution mentioned the pleading of Janis Pujats, Janis Smits and association „NoPride” about calling in the status of the third party, has been rejected.
    In the case reviewed the Senate solved the question, if persons, who have different opinions about organisation of meeting and procession, may be called in the case as third parties, in order to protect interests of the society

    The claim of vistim of tragedy in Talsi Vicinskis has been satisfied in amount of 25 959,98 Ls

    On November 4, the Chamber of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court (SC) announced shorten resolution in the claim of Vidis Vicinskis to Ministry of the Interior of the Republic of Latvia and Government Fire and Rescue Service (GFRS) about compensation of damages, recovery of compensation for mutilation, disfigurement, health and moral harm. The Chamber of Civil Cases of the SC decided to satisfy the claim partially, it is, to recover compensation for mutilation for Vidis Vicinskis in amount of 25 000 Ls, and treatment expenditures in amount of 959,98 Ls. In other part the claim has been rejected. The full text of resolution with motivation part will be available after November, 19.
