Today a lot of the Supreme Court judges participate in the conference “Judicial ethics, qualification and responsibility in Latvia: How to move on after what has been achieved?” organized by the public political center “Providus”.
“Providus” has accomplished a study which analyzes the application of standards of the judicial ethics, the system of qualification and evaluation of the work, as well as the disciplinary responsibility of judges in Latvia and in other European countries. The conference will discuss the problems in these fields and assess what solutions found in other countries could be adapted in Latvia.
