The Chief Justice of the Supreme Court has initiated disciplinary proceedings against a judge of first instance court on the grounds of unreasoned court decision by a judge.

“Drawing up a court decision without including reasoning required by law and unjustified departure from the case law is not only an unlawful conduct, but it also undermines trust in the court, creating a public perception of either unprofessionalism or corruption in the judiciary. Therefore, such violations are considered gross violations,” points out the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.

The decision to initiate disciplinary proceedings has been referred to the Judicial Disciplinary Committee.
