On the 16th of April, delegation of representatives of justice of Moldova – chairs of courts, representatives of the Court Administration and the Ministry of Justice visited the Supreme Court to exchange experience and to get acquainted with Latvian court system, the Supreme Court and the Board of Justice.

Sandra Lapina, the Head of the Administration of the Supreme Court acquainted delegation from Moldova with structure, functions and administration of the Supreme Court, and Rasma Zvejniece, the Head of the Division of Communication shared experience of work of the Supreme Court on informing and legal educating of society.

In her turn, Inara Garda, the senator of the Supreme Court and the Vice-Chair of the Board of Justice, acquainted members of delegation with foundation, functions and the most important decisions of the Board of Justice.

In 2012, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) signed a Memorandum of Understanding, and its aim is to promote cooperation in Moldova in field of reform of system of justice and to support integration of Moldova in Europe. In framework of this Memorandum, USAID had organized visit of representatives of system of justice of Moldova to Latvia, where Moldovan colleagues got acquainted with work of Latvian Ministry of Justice, the Court Administration, the Supreme Court and other courts.
