On May 4, 2007 29 young lawyers were taking an oath to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Andris Gulans, to become lawful representatives of the judiciary.
Sworn law enforcement officer’s office will be increased by Kristine Gavare, till now assistant to the sworn law enforcement officer, she will be responsible for the Riga Regional court’s district 53.
As new Sworn advocates became assistants to the advocates Janis Bazevics, Aldis Blumbergs, Renars Briedis, Ina Cara, Agnese Erta, Uldis Freidenfelds, Elīna Girne – Bērziņa, Agnese Hartpenga, Pauls Jansons, Andris Jaunberzins, Agnese Jauntirane – Barkane, Arturs Krauklis, Janis Miltuzis, Vitalijs Platpirs, Andra Plotniece, Helena Purvina, Larisa Rinke, Dace Ritina, Inga Rozentale, Inese Sakarne, Gundega Skudra, Daimars Skutans, Agris Vidzups, Elina Zalite un Mara Zepa, also doctor’s degree owners from the University of Latvia Janis Lazdins un Sanita Osipova, as well as head of the Division of Law of Juridical help administration Baiba Cera.
After the new advocates and law enforcement officer have sworn to be loyal to Latvia, in good faith and conviction serve the law, to treat courts and state power with respect, the Chief Justice wished everyone to work and life in compliance with the given promise and principles of ethics, so all of us together could rise the prestige and authority of the judiciary in Latvia.
