By the order of November 3 of the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court Sandra Lapina, the former Deputy Head of the Administration and the acting Head of the Administration, was confirmed in the position of the Head of the Administration.

Sandra Lapina works in the Supreme Court since 2005. She was the Deputy Manager of the Chancery, and since 2006 – the Deputy Head of the Administration. As of June this year when the Head of the Administration Anita Kehre left her position, Sandra Lapina worked as the acting Head of the Administration.

Sandra Lapina was born in 1971. In 2004 she got the lawyer’s qualification in the School of Business Administration “Turiba” and in 2008 – the professional master’s degree in personnel administration in the Riga International Economy and Business Administration School.

Under Article 50.1 of the law “On Judicial Power” the Administration of the Supreme Court is a structural unit of the Supreme Court which organizes and ensures the administrative activities of the court. The Administration of the Supreme Court manages finances, provides the material and technical supply, maintains office work, organizes administration and training of the staff, ensures communication with the public and involves in international activities. The head of the Administration of the Supreme Court is engaged and dismissed from the position by the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
