On 6 August, students of law from the Humboldt University in Berlin (Humboldt Universität zu Berlin) and the University of Latvia visited the Supreme Court.

Students came to Latvia within framework of summer school/ project “Projekt Netzwerk Ost-West” organised jointly by both universities.

During the visit, students met Aleksandrs Potaicuks, the assistant to the judge of the Department of Administrative Cases, Nora Magone, the assistant to the Chair of the Department of Criminal Cases, and Rihards Gulbis, the scientific adviser of the Department of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court.  They familiarised students with Latvian court system, role and functions of the Supreme Court, and other specific issues related to courts. Students also visited the museum of the Supreme Court and went on a guided tour over the historical Palace of Justice.
