SUMMARISED CASE-LAW OF THE DEPARTMENT OF CIVIL CASES ON REOPENING OF A CASE IF THERE IS NEW OR NEWLY DISCOVERED EVIDENCE

The Division of Case-law and Research of the Supreme Court has prepared a compilation of the case-law of the Department of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court on reopening of a case-file where after the ruling became final a request for reexamination of the case on ground of newly discovered circumstances has been submitted.
The digest systematize separate rulings of the Department of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court in cases where after the ruling has become final a new examination of a case has been requested because of new or newly discovered evidence.
In the first part of the compilation the rulings are systematized regarding the relevant articles of the Civil Procedure Law in force during the adjudication of cases, while the second part gives a broader insight into examined rulings.
The compilation is prepared by Reinis Markvarts, advisor of the Division of Case-law and Research of the Supreme Court.
