On 29 October, Ivars Bickovics, the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court, accepted an oath of two bailiffs.
Dana Krumina became the bailiff of Riga regional court, and Liga Kavite – in Vidzeme regional court.
Sworn bailiffs are persons associated to court system, who work by regional courts and discharge obligations, which are stipulated in laws. In accordance with Section 29 of the Law on Bailiffs, a sworn bailiff has been included in the list of sworn bailiffs and may begin to discharge his or her duties, after he or she has insured professional risk and has given an oath to the Chief Justice of the Supreme Court.
