This week, the position of the Head of the Division of Document Administration of the Supreme Court was taken by Vanda Zoldnere.

The new Head of the Division admits that she has always had a wish to acquire new skills and experience, to test her abilities in various fields. For the last seven years, V. Zoldnere worked as a consultant of social security of the Chief Taxation Department of the State Revenue Service. The experience obtained in an institution with strict and perfect system of document administration, will be useful in the new position, as well.

V. Zoldnere has a versatile work experience. In 1983, after graduating from the Riga Polytechnic Institute, Faculty of automatics and computer technology, she received the diploma of a specialist of automatic systems of management and worked as an engineer programmer in the scientific research institute of the factory VEF. In the following years, she changed the profile of her activities and worked as an interpreter in an editorial board of a newspaper, as a specialist of the personified record keeping in the Foundation of social welfare of the Ministry of Welfare, participated in working out and implementation in the project of the training center “Zimes studija”, was the editor of the magazine “Project Management” published by the National Association of Project Management. For the last seven years, V. Zoldnere worked in the Chief Taxation Department of the State Revenue Service. She has mastered her knowledge and working skills in the courses organized by the School of State Administration, Ministry of Welfare and the Training Center of municipality and project management of the University of Latvia.

Vanda’s hobbies are theater, literature, traveling together with the family – the husband and daughter who graduated from high school this year.

The Division of Document Administration is a structural unit of the Supreme Court Administration which is subjected to the Head of the Administration. The Division of Document Administration was established in 2005 on the basis of the former court chancery with the aim to ensure uniform, clear and understandable system of circulation of official documents.

The Division of Document Administration is also in charge of the Informative system of office work which is an electronic database that registers all the applications and other documents filed with the Supreme Court by individuals and legal persons. The electronic register of correspondence documents functions in the Supreme Court for already two years, it is helpful in the work of the court and makes the performance of assignments more efficient. The electronic circulation of the documents is ensured within the scope of the informative system of office work, and the electronic database of the documents has been created accessible to the staff of the court.

The Division of Document Administration follows the movement of the filed documents, controls the execution of the resolutions and the return of responses to the individuals and legal persons. The Division monitors also the archives of the Supreme Court where the necessary archive references and copies of the court rulings are issued.
