Two new members have been admitted to the Network of the Supreme Judicial Courts of the European Union: President of the Supreme Court of Iceland Benedikt Bogason as an associate member and President of the Supreme Court of Ukraine Vsevolod Kniaziev as an observer.

The decision was made at the General Assembly of the Network, which took place on October 14 in Brno, Czech Republic.

The Network aims to promote the exchange of opinions and experiences on judicial work, on the organization and functions of the supreme courts, especially those functions related to court activity in the application of the European Community law. The Supreme Court of Latvia has been a member of the Network since 2004.
