In accordance with the decision of the President of the Republic of Latvia and the Order of Chapters, the Order of the Three Stars was awarded to Peteris Dzalbe, Chair of the Department of Criminal Cases of the Supreme Court, and to Marite Zagere, Senator of the Department of Civil Cases, for meritorious service to Latvia.

Peteris Dzalbe was awarded the Order of the Third Class and was appointed Commander of the Order of the Three Stars. In turn, Marite Zagere was appointed the Officer of the Order of the Three Stars, awarding her with the Order of Fourth Class.

In total, the Order of the Three Stars is awarded to 31 outstanding figures, the Order of Viesturs to 9 persons, and the Cross of Recognition to 34 persons. The awards will be given by the State President on November 18.

So far, eleven judges of the Supreme Court have received the Order of the Three Stars, while four judges and employees have received the Cross of Recognition.
