On Monday, the 25th of March, sixteen students of law from Leiden, the Netherlands, visited the Supreme Court. Students represent The European Law Students’ Association - ELSA, which is international, independent, non-political non-profit organisation. As present, the Association is represented almost in 300 faculties of law and in 42 European countries. Students arrived to Latvia to get acquainted with Latvian court system.

Aldis Lavins, the senator of the Department of Civil Cases of the Senate, told students about Latvian court instances, with place and role of the Supreme Court in Latvian court system and other specific questions related to courts. Students also visited the museum of the Supreme Court and examined historical Palace of Justice.
