Representatives of General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan get acquainted with the Latvian case-law in review of cases about bribery

On April 9, group of prosecutors under the guidance of Chief prosecutor of Anticorruption Department of General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan Movlud Mirzaliyev met the Chair of the Department of Criminal Cases of the Senate Pavels Gruzins and the Chair of the Chamber of Criminal Cases Ervins Kuskis.
Representatives from Azerbaijan wanted to get acquainted with Latvian case-law in review of cases about bribery, so in the framework of their visit to Latvia they visited the Supreme Court.
Visit of representatives of Anticorruption Department of General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan to Latvia on April 8 and 9 was organised in the framework of the project Twinning “Support of Anticorruption Department of General Prosecutor’s Office of Azerbaijan”. Project has been implemented by Lithuanian Special Investigation Service in cooperation with Corruption Prevention and Combating Bureau.
Aim of prosecutors from Azerbaijan is to get acquainted with experience of Latvia in investigation of crimes of bribery, their proving and case-law. In the framework of the visit prosecutors from Azerbaijan also meet representatives of Latvian courts and institutions of Prosecutor’s Office.
