Support for strengthening the capacity of the Supreme Court of Ukraine in the context of European integration

In 2022, the Supreme Court, as a cooperation partner of the Court Administration, implements the project "Support for strengthening the capacity of the Supreme Court of Ukraine in the context of European integration". The project application prepared by the Supreme Court and the Court Administration was supported by the Development Cooperation Project competition of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

Aim of the project

The project aims to support the strengthening of capacity of the Supreme Court of Ukraine in the context of European integration. The project complies with the 16th sub-goal of the Sustainable Development Goals – promotion of peaceful and inclusive societies for sustainable development, the provision of access to justice for all, and building effective, accountable institutions at all levels.

Project activities

• Humanitarian aid – in 2022, it is planned to provide humanitarian aid to Ukrainian courts, taking into account the directions of the Ukrainian side. Within the project, it is planned to purchase and hand over 22 portable computers to the Supreme Court of Ukraine. The purchase and transfer of equipment will be arranged in accordance with the requirements of laws and regulations.

• Preparation of the study – researchers from Latvia will ensure the preparation of the study in consultation with the experts of the Supreme Court of Ukraine. As part of the activity, the study will be prepared in English and distributed among the representatives of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

• Series of seminars on issues of emotional rehabilitation – within the framework of the activity, it is planned to organize a series of webinars, providing 3 lectures for representatives of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.
