SANDRA KRUMINA, THE JUDGE OF THE REGIONAL COURT, CONTINUES TO DISCHARGE DUTIES OF A JUDGE OF THE CHAMBER OF CIVIL CASES

To ensure work of the Chamber of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court until its liquidation on 31 December 2016, the Council for the Judiciary instructed Sandra Krumina, the judge of Riga regional court, to continue to discharge duties of a judge of the Chamber of Civil Cases of the Supreme Court as from 15 March.
Sandra Krumina has discharged duties of a judge of the Supreme Court during the vacancy of a judge since March 2012. Upon expiration of the second two-year term, the new decision had to be taken.
Since 1 January, there have been nine offices of judges in the Chamber of Civil Cases, which must be filled to ensure continuous adjudication of cases in the Chamber of Civil Cases by three compositions of the court.
