Participants of Erasmus+ project from Saldus Secondary School attended law lesson at the Supreme Court

On April 6, the students and teachers of Saldus Secondary School visited the Supreme Court. The members of the group were interested in visiting the Court, as they are participating in the International Erasmus+ "U2 have a voice" project, which covers topics such as elections, democracy, the rule of law, and freedom of speech. In the Supreme Court, those interested took part in a law lesson given by Veronika Krūmiņa, the Chair of the Senate's Department of Administrative Cases, thus learning about the judicial system of the Republic of Latvia and getting an insight into the work and role of a judge.
At the conclusion of the visit, teachers and students learned about the historical exhibits of the Supreme Court Museum and walked the corridors of the Palace of Justice.
